Ugg boots come back again!

I'll come right out and say it. I don't get Uggs. One day they are the hottest thing on the planet, the next they are so last year. Then, wait, the luxury sheepskin Ugg boots are back again and even getting a fashion boost!

After years of watching over-allowanced SoCal teens run around in mini skirts and Uggs in 80 degree weather, I was dead set against ever wearing a pair. Then I moved to the SF Bay Area, where the weather is dreary all winter long. Now, I kind of like the idea of a pull-on, shearling lined, super soft boot that I can wear sans socks and still be super cozy. So wonderful it is, the unbelievable cheap Ugg boots!

So, here I am, mid-indecisiveness about the whole Ugg situation, when I get a nudge in the pro-Ugg direction. The Ugg Australia Trunk Show has arrived at purpleuggsonline.com. I'm still debating about the boots. I have picked out the pair I would get if I decided to take the Ugg plunge. I'd go for the Classic Tall Boots in Sand (right). I get the feeling that this is the uber-popular Ugg since Nordstrom plainly points out on their site that sizes and colors are limited and they will only sell a maximum of four pair to each household. Good thing I only need one pair.

As for the pre-order trunk show, the sandals are fabulous, chic, but with a look that is somehow cozy. How strange is that? I love the new "Rochelle" Sandal (top left). It has the wedge heel that I love, combined with super soft Ugg leather, stud details, and a little tuft of shearling padding under the heel. The whole package is just plain fun. So the 2009 is drawing to an end, at the special moment, just buy cheap Ugg boots as a special gift for the New Year.
